Pinot Gris is everyone’s mate. This cheeky, citrus-driven French style white is refreshing, easy going and lingers just long enough. Not too fresh, not too oaky. The Goldilocks of the whites.

Region: Yarra and King Valleys

Alc/Vol: 14%

Smells like: Fresh cut pears, snow peas shoots and lemon thyme

Tastes like: Lime flowers and miso. Crisp, bone dry and moreish with twangy lemon sorbet finish

Goes with: Beer battered whiting with chips and tartare, fresh oysters, goats cheese and char grilled vegies. Sunshine, but also rain, hail and snow (basically anytime, all the time)

Wine making: A great growing summer in the upper King Valley, gave us a delicious spike in mineral citrus.

  • 100% hand-picked Yarra & King Valley fruit
  • Harvested Feb-April 2017
  • Combination of whole bunch pressed and destemmed to press
  • 85% stainless steel cold fermentation to hold onto that freshness
  • 15% matured in French oak for that lush mouth feel
  • Barrels lees stirred for three months
  • Vegan Friendly
  • Cellar up to three years, but why wait?

Critics’ tasting notes

  1. “Shows a fresh and youthful character with melons and citrus fruits on the palate.”

    International Wine Challenge 2019 08/05/2019

  2. “I like this style of gris. It retains a freshness and lively palate feel and doesn’t fall into that overdone heavy category that can sometimes mar this variety. Comes from the King and Yarra valleys. Nice melon and pear characters with a typical spicy lift. A little dab of French oak and lees stirring has brought the palate to life.”

    Ray Jordan, The West Australian

  3. “This Victorian winery is continuing to grow in popularity and with wines such as this it’s easy to understand why. Pinot gris is becoming a popular drop for many and this is a classy one to savour.”
