Tempranillo (sounds like temp-ra-neo) is a juicy, earthy, medium bodied red variety made famous by the Spaniards. They love it with paella and so do we, so we made some. This one’s all berries and spice with vibrant colour and flavour, it could be your new favourite red variety.
Region: 70% King Valley, 30% Heathcote
Smells like: Red cherries, blackberry and some earthy spice
Tastes like: Bright, juicy berries and cola jubes followed by dusty, savoury spice
Goes with: Paella con Carne, chorizo, salami or bresaola, fire roasted capsicum, olives and semicured cheese. A long supper of grazing, sharing stories and misadventures
