6 Awards/Critics’ Notes

With a colour reminiscent of summer sunsets, blushing cheeks and your favourite croquet polo shirt, why would you not choose rosé today? Don’t let its sweet
hues fool you. This baby is a crisp dry drop, made from Pinot Noir grapes. Playful and preppy, classy and so damn drinkable.

Region: Yarra Valley

Alc/Vol: 13.0%

Smells like: Cherries and strawberries, with a savoury hint

Tastes like: Red berry compote, with a crisp, super clean finish

Goes with: A great margarita pizza, tiger prawns with aioli, or brie and quince paste. The next round of bowls.

Wine making: Made from 100% Pinot Noir, that ripened through a long, warm vintage. The season generated concentrated red berry fruits and a lovely balance.

  • Fruit from the Yarra Valley
  • Harvested in February and March 2018 in the cool of night
  • 3-4 hours of skin contact to create that beautiful colour
  • A mix of cool free run fermentations, for a bright berry character and warmish barrel fermentations
  • Long settling, leading to minimal filtration
  • Vegan-friendly
  • Style: Dry
  • Cellaring: Up to 2 years

Critics’ tasting notes

  1. “A gentle coral. Straight pinot noir; lightweight and almost ethereal, demonstrating how exciting the category has become in Australia. Raked with herb before a gentle lilt of strawberry, musk and tangerine notes are trailed to a dry, evanescent linger by a waft of acidity.”

    Halliday Wine Companion 2020 12/08/2019

  2. “A vegan-friendly, blushing pale pink Rosé, this wine is made from 100 per cent Yarra Valley pinot noir grapes and is crisp and dry. The strawberry-scented aromas are alluring, but it’s the clean berry-fuelled finish that will have you topping up your glass. Drink it with roast cauliflower, coconut-based curries, fish.”
