Innocent Bystander Babylon Pop-Ups Named Finalist at the 2025 Wine Communicator Awards

Turns out our little rooftop adventure made a bit of noise. The Innocent Bystander Babylon Pop-Ups have just been named a finalist for Best Wine-Themed Event at the 2025 Wine Communicator Awards. Not bad for a bunch of city-slicking Bystanders who like to do things a little differently.

We’re in good company too, sharing the finalist lineup with the Adelaide Hills Winter Reds Festival, Ovata House, and the legends behind Pinot Palooza. All proof that the wine world’s best stories aren’t just told in vineyards, but in the moments and places where people actually come together.

Our Babylon Pop-Ups were all about flipping the script on the classic wine experience. Transforming rooftops and gardens into a playful mash-up of tastings, tunes, good food and even better company. Less swirl-and-sniff, more sip-and-stay-awhile.

Getting a nod from the Wine Communicator Awards feels like a win for doing things differently, for bringing wine back to where it belongs: with people.
